Back in the Hybrid Seat
Just returned from a week-long trip to New York, so I obviously haven't had much to write about my new hybrid car. Except of course that that battery didn't fail me when I turned on the ignitition switch for the first time in seven days. The car continues to drive wonderfully, and I for one remain one satisfied -- if not -- passionate customer. On another front, Motortrend magazine just gave the updated Honda Civic Hybrid an excellent review, although it did question the $5000 premium over the regular Honda Civic...especially given that gas savings on an annual basis probably only net out to $650 or 800 a year for the typical consumer. The $2000 tax break also helps, but in the end that only reduces dollar-outflow by about $700. Here's the Motor Trend Article.
